A mix breed resulting from a cross between a Jack Russel Terrier and a Chihuahua. They are known for inheriting traits from both parents, including a short coat, dark eyes and a short neck. Friendly, playful and energetic with either folded or upright ears. Good watchdogs and good with people and other dogs and small enough to pick up (just).
Oil on wood. Original in private collection. Prints available on request.
This crossbreed originated in the 1980’s and 1990’s in America, so still fairly unusual in the UK. The large ears and eyes make them very adorable to look at and they are good family pets for a family that can play with them lots. They can live up to 18 years and can cost up to £1000. Smaller breeds have a longer life expectancy than larger ones.
